Dr. Kerry Foreman • DVM  ~ LAH Member since 6/12/2010

Kerry received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M over twenty years ago. After graduation, she moved to Wisconsin and then on to St. Paul Minnesota. She worked in several small animal practices, and then left private practice to establish a non-profit veterinary center in Minneapolis. The winters proved too fierce for her, and, loving what Denver offered, she packed her bags and never looked back. Since arriving in Denver, she joined Planned Pethood Plus as an associate veterinarian, and worked there for 12 years, leaving in January 2010 to open her own practice. She lives in beautiful northwest Denver with her husband and daughter, along with two cats and an ill-behaved Chihuahua. In her spare time she enjoys knitting and chronic remodeling of her house.

Dr. Heather Reeder  • DVM ~ LAH Member Since 1/1/2012

Heather was raised in Denver and went to the University of Arizona were she received her Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science.  Then she moved back to Colorado and graduated from CSU Veterinary School in 1998.  Since then she has worked for the Dumb Friends League, Harrison Memorial and also in a private practice.  Heather also did 2 years in a cat only clinic; which taught her that she really enjoys working with cats but that she missed working with dogs.  At home she has two kids, one dog, three cats and thankfully only one husband.

Cynthia Gonzales • Front Desk ~ LAH Member since 8/02/2014

Cynthia is a Colorado Native born in Trinidad but lives in Denver now.  She has been active in the vet field for over 16 years; the first 10 years were spent in non-profit, before going into the private sector.  She has a special interest for the older pets because her house is full of them; and she has never seen an "ugly" dog (she thinks that they are ALL cute). She has three dogs, the oldest is Hailey Jo a 12 year old Shih Tzu, the middle child is Abbey the 8 year old Shih Tzu mix, than her newest family member is Jenna a 1 year old Poodle Mix.  In her free time she enjoys watching hockey and having a good times being with friends, and of course hanging with her dog crew.  She can sing at least a "part" of any song recorded in the 90's.  Cynthia has a dress up hoodie and isn't afraid to wear it.  Her very full personality brings everyone she meets great joy and she is always laughing whether at herself or something else.

Peter Foreman • Clinic Dog/ Mascot

Peter had been our mascot since we opened our doors in 2010. Sadly on Fed 19th 2016 we had to say good bye to our little gray guy. We was a great member of our team, greeting us and sneaking up front to say hello.  We will never had another like you.

No longer by our side, but forever in our hearts. You'll never be forgotten.  Love you Peter, a.k.a. Pe Pod, The Silver Bullet

Did you know that heartworm season is here?

Did you know that heartworm is spread by mosquitoes? When a heartworm positive mosquitoe bites a dog the larvae is left on the skin which can migrate into the blood stream.

Did you know that even if your dog is on heartworm prevention year around, your dog should still be tested?  Nothing is 100% guaranteed so why take the risk; we suggest testing every other year.

Did you know that your dog might have heartworm and you may not even know it? It can take years to have your dog show signs of being heartworm positive.

Did you know that heartworm are real worms that can live in your pet's heart?  Gross we know.

If you have any questions or want to discuss heartworm with us please give us a call and we would be more than happy to help.
